Encouragement
All of our ministry families have all either adopted children or are adopting
and desire to encourage other families through their testimonies, prayer and
mentorship. Throughout the year, Lake Pointe will host events and speakers to
inform families about adoption topics.
Resources
On the topic of adoption, there is a great deal of information available to
families; but there is also a sometimes overwhelming amount of data and
resources, and many adoption myths and misinformation. The ministry provides
families with honest and relevant information about the various kinds of
adoption, the adoption tax credit and other areas of financial assistance, and
learning material about families with adopted children. The ministry also
provides an adoption grant fund to help cover some of the financial burden of
adoption through gifts made by those who want to lessen the cost roadblock of
adoption.
Support
As a family chooses its adoption path, a ministry family mentor families offer
support and prayer for the adoptive family throughout the adoption journey. Lake
Pointe adoptive families participate in community-building events, and the
Adoption 101 Hot Topics class is offered to help families in their adoption
journey. The Adoption 201 Hot Topics class is offered to help families post-adoption.

Lake Pointe
Adoption Community Email Group
An email group for those who share an interest in adoption topics. The group
is moderated and completely private. Request membership here, and you will be
added to the list. This online group contains links to family websites and many
additional resources available to adoptive families. It also provides a
mechanism to build community within our families.
Resource Library & Book List
The Lake Pointe library has a collection of adoption books available for
check-out. In addition, the ministry team has assembled a recommended book list
for families throughout their adoption journeys. Visit the Lake Pointe library
for more details or join the Lake Pointe Adoption Community Email Group to view
the recommended book list. Additional resources are available from the links on
the left.
